Storyteller • Entrepreneur • Strategic Advisor • Bilingual Operator

👋 I’m Adrian — a storyteller, strategist, and builder who has never been particularly good at following scripts. But sometimes I do it anyway.

That probably explains why I eventually walked away from a 15-year telecom career with no severance, no safety net, and no intention of settling for a life that didn’t inspire me.

My professional foundation was built helping organizations strengthen the relationships that matter most — their customers. Over the course of my career I’ve led nationally recognized teams and managed complex client ecosystems at companies such as AT&T, Comcast, T-Mobile, and ChowNow, focusing on customer success, strategic partnerships, and enterprise growth.

Today, I am the founder of Mirin Ocean Strategies, S.A., an international advisory firm based in Panama that supports individuals and organizations navigating relocation, investment, and opportunities across the Americas. Through Mirin Ocean Strategies I focus on client success, cross-border strategy, and international mobility — helping people build new lives, businesses, and opportunities beyond their home markets.

Born in Hollywood, California, I grew up in South Florida. I’m a proud United States citizen and have also pursued multiple citizenships and international residencies as part of my own journey exploring global mobility and opportunity across borders. That personal experience allows me to better understand the challenges people face when navigating international transitions.

While I’m not actively seeking new roles, I remain open to the right remote opportunity — one that aligns with my values, challenges me to grow, and occasionally takes me somewhere interesting in the world.

Where It All Started

I was born in Hollywood, California and raised in South Florida by a single mother. We didn’t have much, but we had determination.

The person who changed the trajectory of my life was my maternal grandfather, Ramiro Fernandez. When he noticed my fascination with technology and education, he took a leap of faith and bought me my very first personal computer.

That single investment unlocked a world of possibility.

It gave me access to knowledge, tools, and opportunities far beyond my circumstances.

My First Break

At thirteen years old I landed my first real job as an intern at the Miami Museum of Science, working as a computer lab technician and instructor.

That experience taught me something that has stayed with me throughout my career:

The real power of technology isn’t the technology itself — it’s the ability to explain it in a way that helps real people improve their lives and businesses.

While working and studying relentlessly, I eventually earned a congressional nomination to MAST Academy Marine Science High School, a nationally recognized institution for high-achieving students.

Entrepreneurship was always in the background. As a teenager I funded my curiosity by selling items on eBay and reading obsessively — sometimes finishing four books a week in my effort to absorb as much knowledge as possible.

Breaking the Script

Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to work across the United States and internationally in places like Mexico, Paraguay, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. Along the way I noticed something interesting about corporate culture. Managers love to talk about “big leadership.”

But MANY are hesitant to actually take big risks. They send younger employees into the trenches while playing it safe themselves.

I’ve never been wired that way. I believe in stepping into the arena, building things from scratch, and solving problems worth solving.

No entitlement. Just a strong Wi-Fi signal and a stubborn refusal to quit.

For most of my life I assumed I’d work for someone else until I was 70, collecting cheap coffee mugs and “Employee of the Month” certificates.

Instead, I broke the script.

Entrepreneurship & Real Estate

Today I manage a real estate portfolio and focus much of my effort on creating affordable housing solutions in Los Angeles for individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. By optimizing and automating my business operations, I’ve been able to structure my work around principles I first encountered in books like The Four Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss and Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

Entrepreneurship isn’t just what I do.

It’s how I think.

Life Outside Work

When I’m not working on business or real estate projects, you’ll usually find me writing, training, or exploring creative pursuits.

I’m a member of The Academy of Magical Arts at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, one of the most unique private clubs in the world dedicated to the art of magic and storytelling.

The community there is filled with performers, thinkers, and creators who constantly inspire new ideas.

I also continue private study with coaches and mentors from around the world, constantly refining my skills.

Because the way I see it:

If you’re not improving, you’re just getting older.

And unfortunately…

I can only control ONE of those things.

I believe in building things that last, solving problems worth solving, and connecting with people who think the same way. If that sounds like you, let’s connect.
